Services

Our worship services are Christ-centered, blending traditional liturgy with uplifting, and sometimes, contemporary, music. Pastor Meyer's sermons are laced with imagery and analogies that make passages from the Bible relevant and easy to understand. Regular services are 8:00am and 10:30am each Sunday, and free nursery care is available. A special German sevice is held the second Sunday of each month at 3:00pm.

Americana Services

Americana worship services have been well received by COR members and others in the community. The "Americana" style is similar to bluegrass music in instrumentation with guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and string bass. The bright sound of fast-moving strings is still the same. But the mournful vocals typical of bluegrass are absent in the Americana services. Also, our musical group at COR named "One Accord" uses other instruments, particularly the oboe, to support congregational singing of melodies and to enhance harmonies. In addition to songs and hymns usually associated with bluegrass music, the service music at COR includes African-American spirituals, folk songs, and many familiar hymns normally accompanied by organ but done in this new and refreshing style. All of this is within a Lutheran liturgical worship setting of Word and Sacrament. Envision "Glory to God in the highest", the traditional liturgical canticle "Gloria", rewritten and sung with a fast beat to the tune of "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms."

Join Us at the Lord's Table

At Christ Our Redeemer, we invite all baptized Christians who desire to receive Christ’s body and blood for forgiveness of sins to join us at the Lord's Table. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is served weekly, nourishing us in our faith and strengthening us for service to God and others.
